I have been interested in the Interactive Fleshlight for a while.  Most teledildonics devices I have run into are output devices.  Output is good, but so is input.

The Interactive Fleshlight is an adaptor that goes on the Fleshlight male masturbaton device.  This is apparently the world's best selling device of this sort, and if you look on the 'Net, it gets universally positive reviews.  There are all sorts of options available for it, including different sleeves with varying sensations, and even sleeves molded from popular porn stars.

For my birthday this year, my Sweetie got me a Fleshlight, and it is just a wonderful as all the reviews you read on the 'Net.  So of course I had to try the interactive version.

The Interactive Fleshlight adaptors are sold by Citouch.  You can either buy a Fleshlight and adaptor together, or you can buy the adaptor separately.  I would recommend doing the latter, because you can get more choices of options at the Fleshlight website.  If you buy them separately, the important thing is to get the right one for your case; there is one for the older silver cases, and one for the newer cases in other colors: pink, silver, ice (clear), blue, and black.  (I believe there are old silver cases and new silver cases, but I am not sure of this, so if you have a silver case, you might want to email Citouch for clarification.)

I have a black case, so I bought the newer adaptor.   Here is what the came in the kit:
  • - End cap for Fleshlight
  • - Control box
  • - Clear tubing
  • - USB cable
  • - CD

At first, I was confused, and a little disapponted, with the end cap.  If you look at the pictures of the adaptors for the older silver cases, they have a threaded cap, just like the cap that comes with the Fleshlight.

The Interactive Fleshlight Kit

The end cap that came with the kit was a piece of molded plastic that was not threaded, and did not fit over the end of the case. When I wrote Citouch to complain, they replied immediatly, apologizing and saying that they had neglected to send me the instructions, which they atached to the email. It turns out that if you run hot water over the edge of the end cap, it will become pliable enough to slip right over the threads of the case. When it cools, it grips them tightly, and provides a very good seal.

Before I wrote Citouch, I tried making my own end cap, by drilling a hole in the end cap and installing a hose barb. It worked, but I could hear it leaking a bit past the threads as I used it. And you don't want to over-tighten the caps, as the threads on the Fleshlights are a little dodgey, and easy to cross-thread. I have read on the 'Net that the caps on the ice (clear) cases tend to seize up easily (I don't have any personal experience with the ice cases, since my case is black), which is all the more reason not to be overtightening them. The molded end caps have a tight seal, and you don't have to worry about threads.

The end cap has a sort of nipple molded into it. You cut the end off, and push the tubing into it. It grips the tubing very well, actually much better than a hose barb would. At the right is a close-up view of the hose connection. By the way, you might want to consider getting a spare case, in case you want to use the Fleshlight without the computer. They only cost about $20 at the Fleshlight site, so it's not a big expense, and it will make things a lot more convenient. (It only takes about three seconds to slip the sleeve out of one case and into the other.) Interactive Fleshlight Kit

When I tried the Interactive Fleshlight with the supplied game CD, the CD was defective, and none of my computers could read it. I wrote Citouch again, and they quickly sent me a download file of Nicci the Naughty Nurse, the game that is supposed to come with it. It is a Flash-based game with a cartoon nurse who is trying to give you medicine. You have to first play a few rounds of tic-tac-toe and rock-paper-scissors with her. If she wins, you have to take your medicine. If you win, you get to take her to bed (and presumably skip the medicine.) I didn't find the game terribly exciting, but I am not really interested in having sex with a cartoon character, so I may not be a good judge. (My suspension-of-disbelief doesn't work that way; I do much better with my own fantasies.) In any case, that's not why I got the Interactive Fleshlight; I got it as a teledildonics input device.
The Assembled Interactive Fleshlight Kit
The Slashdong website did a review of the Interactive Fleshlight about a year-and-a-half ago, and they complained about the fact that the device looks to your computer like a mouse, rather than a separate device. In fact, as you stroke the device, you can see your cursor go up and down on the screen. They thought this was a design flaw but, at least for teledildonics, it is really a feature. Here's why:

The way I plan to use the Interactive Fleshlight is to control a remote fucking machine. So imagine you are stroking the Fleshlight up and down, and your remote partner's fucking machine is moving in unison. You are hot-chatting on the phone, and everything is great. Suddenly you feel yourself coming, and you know she is not far from it either. A lot of guys can't handle a lot of stimulation once they have come, and even if you can, your cock tends to shrink a bit, and you may not be able to continue to generate the necessary pressure in the Fleshlight to run the remote device. But if you stop when your partner is on the verge of orgasm, she will be a very unhappy girl. So what do you do? You grab your mouse, and continue stroking with it until your partner reaches orgasm, too.

The first device I am going to try to control with the Interactive Fleshlight is a Hitachi Magic-Wand vibrator. One of my teledildonics projects is to build a USB controller for the Hitachi. I'm not sure how successful this is going to be, because a variable level of vibration is not going to be the same as stroking. But I am going to start with that, since I don't own a fucking machine yet. When I do, the same controller will be able to vary the speed of the fucking machine.

I believe that rather than trying to make the fucking machine mimic the movements of the Fleshlight, I will have the program count the up and down strokes per minute and adjust the fucking machine speed accordingly. I think this is a better approach, because when you are using the Fleshlight, sometimes you have to readjust, or push deeper into it to squeeze some air out, and that sort of thing, and I think if those movements were mimiced by the fucking machine on the other end, it would not be comfortable for your partner.

By the way, I should mention that Citouch has something called the Diltron, which is a remote dildo that can be controlled by the Interactive Fleshlight. It appears that right now they are only renting them to models and webmasters, but it might be worth looking into.

I will keep you posted as I continue with this project.
