The Succu-dry is the latest in the Fleshlight Sex-in-a-can line of male masturbation toys. They are similar to the more widely known Fleshlight Originals, but instead of looking like an oversized flashlight, they look like a large beer can from a boutique brewery. Like the Fleshlight Originals, they come in vagina, anus, and mouth shapes.

Released just in time for Halloween, the Succu-dry adds a fourth shape; it looks like an attractive vampire mouth, complete with teeth and fangs. The sleeve has an inner texture called "The Fang," which consists of dozens of small, pointy protrusions. The name "Succu-dry" is a cute play on words, combining "succubus", the mythical demon in the form of a woman, who seduces men into having sex over and over until completely drained of life energy, with "suck you dry", which you could think of as the oral version of the same thing.

Now succubi and vampires are not really the same thing: vampires come from Eastern European medieval folklore, and succubi come from ancient Jewish tradition, and are said to be children of Lilith (Adam's first wife). However, both beings drain the life out of people. And if you read Vi Johnson's book, Dhampire, Child of The Blood, she tells the legends of the orgin of vampires that say they are descendants of Lilith, so there is some crossover.

My first thought when I saw the announcement for the Succu-dry (well, actually my second. My first thought was that Masuimi Max, the spokesmodel for the Succu-dry, makes a really sexy vampire girl) was "What the hell were they thinking? No guy is going to want to stick his penis into a vampire mouth."

But then I read this review. And I thought about Peter Brown's 1977 song "Do you wanna get funky with me?":

I could see how this might work, so even though I'm not terribly interested in vampires, I decided to try putting together a vampire-mouth fantasy. I imagined a beautiful vampire woman, beckoning me, hyptonizing me, urging me to come closer. She wrapped her body around mine, caressing me as she nibbled on my neck, whispering in my ear promises of untold delights to come.

She reached down to the bulging front of my jeans, stroking the bulge and making it bulge even more. Then she unzipped my jeans, releasing my aroused penis. She knelt before me, her mouth open, licking her lips seductively, promising unbounded pleasure like no mortal has ever experienced.

And then I knew I had no choice
But to heed the command
Of the devil's voice

I knew I should run. Here I was, with my blood-engorged penis mere inches away from a woman who drinks blood for fun. This was wrong, and deadly, but she was so alluring, and the danger just seemed to add to my excitement. I also knew that the next move was mine. She would not go any further without my consent; that was the law in these matters. I started to turn away, then quickly said "What the hell," plunging deep into her waiting mouth.

As she sucked me into her, she stroked my penis with her raspy, cat-like tongue. It was intensely pleasurable, but almost too much pleasure to bear. I tried to pull out a little, to slow things down a bit, but her suction on my penis held it fast, and I could do nothing but hang on for the ride. Soon, I could feel myself nearing orgasm, and as my penis swelled, the stimulation only got more intense. I feared for what would happen when I came. As I went over the edge, and my penis became extremely sensitive in its post-orgasmic state, she continued licking it with her raspy tongue. This is the classic story of man versus temptation that can be his undoing. It goes back as far as the Bible, with Adam in the garden of Eden. In Greek mythology, Icarus tried to fly to the sun on waxen wings and perished in the process. More on point, if less classic, the movies "Hunk" and "Bedazzled", and Steven King's book, "The Stand" all featured men who were tempted by beautiful women who offered them anything they desired, with no strings attached except the one that could undo them.

Why is the devil-woman image hot? I don't know. Perhaps because she takes "easy" to the extreme. Perhaps because being forbidden makes things more desirable. In any case, even knowing the usual outcome, men are still tempted. (They say hope springs eternal in the aroused penis, or something like that.) Of course, in fantasy, you can give in to temptation, without risking losing your soul, which is nice.

So, once you decide to give into temptation, what does the Seccu-dry feel like? Well, I can't tell you for sure, because I don't have one yet. For a first hand report, you should read the review I mentioned earlier. I have had experience with the Fleshlight Stamina Training Unit (reviewed here), which has an inner texture with large, shallow bumps. It feels smooth inside almost up until the point of orgasm. At that point, when the penis swells and becomes more sensitive, the smooth bumps become almost unbearably stimulating, so much so that many guys have to stop stroking when they reach orgasm.

The Seccu-dry has small-diameter, deep, pointy bumps. The material is very soft, so they aren't going to do any damage to the penis, but they look to be very intense. And when the penis swells and gets sensitive at orgasm, I suspect that they will be breathtakingly intense.

Now even if you have no interest in vampire fantasies, this is still a fun toy to have in your collection. As I mentioned in my review of the Stamina Training Unit, this sort of thing can be fun for male forced-orgasm play (continued intense stimulation after orgasm). If your partner ties you down to the bed, they can bring you to orgasm and beyond with this toy, keeping you on the brink of orgasm for an eternity, then finally pushing you over the edge, and stimulating you for as long afterward as they like. It will be a ride you may never forget.

My Succu-dry arrived in the mail a couple of days ago, so now I can tell you what it feels like.

It is very stimulating, as predicted.  This is the first Sex-in-a-can Fleshlight I have tried, and I discovered a very nice feature of the Sex-in-a-can series.  The end cap is quite a bit larger in diameter than that of the regular Fleshlight, and this seems to let it seal a lot better.  If you loosen the end cap, thrust all the way in, then tighten the end cap and pull out slowly, you get an incredible suction effect that feels wonderful.

When you rinse out the Succu-dry, it is very important to let it dry thoroughly.  With all the little fangs in the inner texture, it holds water a lot more than the other textures I have tried.  I made the mistake of putting it back in the can and sealing it up before it was dry, because company was coming over.  When I opened it up, there was a distinct mildew smell to it.  Pouring some isopropyl alcohol through it, rinsing it out again, and letting it dry thoroughly seemed to solve the problem.

By the way, if you are using the drying racks I mentioned in this review, you will find that the sleeve from the Succu-dry is too small for the rack; it is a slightly smaller diameter and is shorter than the sleeves from the original Fleshlights. If you have two drying racks, you can lay them on their sides, and the more-closely-spaced wires on the sides will hold the Succu-dry sleeve. If you just have on drying rack, you will need to set it on top of a bowl, because the length of the Succu-dry sleeve is slightly greater than the width of the rack.

All in all, I would recommend the Succu-dry even if you are not interested in vampire/succubus fantasies, just because of the stimulating inner texture and the vacuum effect from the tighter end cap.
